We got the alarm for the house installed today. It's $900 we could have done without spending at the moment but it's worth it for the peace of mind. Apparently if it does go off the siren should be about 120dB which would put most sane people off staying in the house.

I enjoyed work on Friday as I got lots of nice compliments on the new haircut to go with the lovely comments I received here. I didn't do it for anyone else but it's always nice to get positive feedback. Mum and Dad weren't overly effusive about my hair which probably means they are struggling to come to terms with the change. Mum commented that I look younger which amused me because I sort of wanted to look more sophisticated but I guess I have ended up looking funky more than anything. I can tell I am going to enjoy playing with this cut and there will be some strange styles. hehe

Had Yum Cha for lunch yesterday which was magnificant. We went to some place in Syndal and I was surprised by the range of things they were serving and that they were different from the food served at the Shark Fin Inn in Little Bourke Street in the city. I actually prepfered the food. The restaurant was New Royal Garden Restaurant, 570 High St Road Syndal.

Tomorrow we are meeting a good friend to have tapas and see Layer Cake. I'm glad to be getting out of the house. Might even drag hubby out for a bike ride tomorrow morning. I want to get confident riding on the road - summer looks good to ride to work.
